Only a few minutes away you'll find a supermarket, pharmacy, bank or post office. Find Restausrants of the big chains, but also a rich variety of individual offers - there is something for every taste. Beside beautiful beaches Englewood offers plenty of water sports such as motor boating, jet skiing, parasailing, fishing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and more.

Golfers get their money's worth.
There are many places, especially on the islands these are fantastically located. Who wouldn't want to play 9 or 18 holes between palm trees, sea and sunset? Many clubs are open to the public, sometimes without an appointment .

Those who like to be active like yourself can rent a boat (in Florida this doesn't require a boating license), jet ski with the dolphins or watch a manta while parasailing. Besides diving, snorkeling, fishing and much more are offered.

You love beaches ? We too! Rotonda West lays near the Manasota Key, which separates the Lemon Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. Fabled 40 miles of sandy beach wait to be explored (just a few miles to drive). 15 more beaches along the Gulf coast invice to stay - and the best: On many days the beaches are uncrowded ( season, Christmas and Easter), just fantastically beautiful and quiet.
Our favorites : Middle Beach (Manasota Key), Boca Grande, Anna Maria Island, Lido Beach on Siesta Key, Sanibel and Captiva .

In particular, families with children will appreciate the wealth of activities in Florida. Besides beach and day trips in the beautiful surroundings of Rotonda , Englewood and Cape Haze, there are the Disney theme parks in Orlando (our favorites are Animal Kingdom and Epcot), SeaWorld (Orlando) and Bush Gardens (Tampa Bay). In the south, these are Fort Myers, the Everglades and Key West (overnight stay), just to name a few.

Cultural offerings can be found in Sarasota (e.g. the Ringling Museum, theater, Mote Aquarium) or further north in Tampa and St. Petersburg (Dali Museum). Everything can be reached within 1 -2h .

But also in the immediate surrounding there are numerous excursions, such as

  •     Boca Grande with nice little town and beach at Lighthouse
  •     Collect shark teeth on the beach in Englewood or Venice
  •     Fishermen's Village in Punta Gorda - shops , restaurants, harbor
